NJB Week 2I covered a few games for the NJB this weekend...mostly the rookie division. The majority of these little guys and girls have not played before and are learning the game more and more each week. It is really nice to get to see some of them progress up through the divisions these past few years that I have covered games.
Girls FlagTonight I covered another girls flag football game. It was Rancho visiting Arbor View. It was a good game with Rancho coming out on top. They had a couple girls that really caught the ball well. Arbor might need to work on a little flag pulling before the next game.
NJB Opening DayI covered a few games on opening day of the Northwest NJB. There was some good games. I really like this league mainly because all the playerkids are required to get ample playing time. This YMCA really has good lighting as well and pictures come out great.
Girls Flag Football @ Arbor ViewI covered a great game today at Arbor View vs Centennial. It was a hard fought game with some great defense and a couple big plays. Centennial finally won it 14-13. This is the first year for flag football in high school. I hope the weather holds up and they are all like this. I know it won't happen....but wishful thinking.
Championship Games @ NYSIt was championship weekend for the NYS. There were some really great games and big time performances put on by a few of the players. All the kids played their hearts out. The NYS put on a real nice championship day. Awards were given out and the music was good on the breaks....I think I heard a little Vanilla Ice in there somewhere. This was actually the first night games I shot this year. The midget game started in daylight and ended when it was dark. I had to make quite a few adjustments in the camera during the game. I don't think any photographer should say that shooting under the lights is an easy task. I did get some good shots though regardless of the lighting.
