CCSD FLAG FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPAwesome game at the CCSD flag football championship. This has to be only a CCSD championship because the rest of the state doesn't play any flag football. In fact, there are only a few places in the country right now that do have a girls flag football league. Anyway, like I said it was a great game. At the beginning it looked like Green Valley was going to blow it open and win it. But as they have done the past few games Cimarron came out of nowhere and won it. Check out a few pictures.
SUNSET FLAG FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPToday I covered the Sunset division championship game between Cimarron and Centennial. Wow....this was a great game with both team taking turns scoring on each other. Cimarron scored with less than a minute left in the game and won it 32-27. This was the second game in a row that have done this, they really keep their composure when they are down. Anyway, enjoy a few pictures from the game.
MORE FLAG FOOTBALL PLAYOFFSI went back over to Arbor View to cover their second playoff game against Cimarron-Memorial. Arbor View came in undefeated but someone forgot to tell Cimarron, because they didn't care.... and pulled the big upset 25-18. It was a great game, so enjoy a few pictures.
GIRLS FOOTBALL PLAYOFF GAMEToday I covered a real good flag football between Arbor View and Desert Oasis. Desert Oasis scored late in the first half to take a 6-0 lead at halftime. Arbor scored early in the second half to tie it up. In a defensive battle that's how it remained until about a minute left in the game and Arbor intercepted a pass and returned it for the go ahead and game winning score. Final 12-6. I plan to be at the next game on Thursday. Enjoy a few pictures from this game.
NJB BASKETBALLWhat else to do on a chilly day....go inside and cover some basketball. So one of my favorite basketball leagues in the NJB. This is a good basketball league that I would recommend to anyone. Enjoy a few pictures.
