SOCCER DAY IN HENDERSONToday I decided to head out to Henderson for some soccer games. I do want to mention that the City of Henderson takes very good care of their parks. There were four games today. Two of the games were 3-5 year olds, a bid advantage I had today was that was a very minimum amount of coaches and parents on the field. This made getting some good pictures a whole lot easier. Really glad also the weather wasn't too bad, it was hot, but not blazin' hot like it was a couple weeks ago.
I try not to get distracted during the games, but this dog catching a Frisbee really caught my attention. He was a really well trained dog.
NYS SUMMER SPORTSFinally got a chance to get back on the fields. It was opening day for the NYS Summer Program. I shot a couple of soccer games and watched a few minutes of baseball. I must say it was hot out there. The league had some cold water available and some cold towels for everyone...I thought that was real nice of them.
THE HEAT IS ONI went out this afternoon to Ed Fountain to cover a couple of pigskin games. I guess I got a little spoiled by the weather a few weeks ago. Today......it was hot! The heat was really coming up off that turf field. I felt a little sorry for a couple of the chain gang crews out there with the flip flops on. I felt the heat coming up through my K-Swiss. Anyway, it was the last week for me this year. I got some great shots regardless of the heat.
PIGSKIN DAYSo for the games today I just covered the Pigskin division. This is 8-man football on an shorter field. The little ones in this division are very fun to watch. I think some of them don't even care what happened in the game after the snacks come out when the game is completed.
BACK IN ITAfter a week off I got back in it and covered a couple of games today. The Panthers, Skyhawks and Sharks went to work at Silverado HS. The weather out there was awesome. I wanted to stay out and get a few more games in but had to shoot a few prom pictures.
